Afternoon tea at Lewis & Carroll.

It was a day before Chinese New Year this year, during my visit to Jakarta which still in rainy season that is something challenging. Then that late afternoon, which I was expected to have a sun-kissed-on-a-cup-of-tea while gathered with friends from uni life, and what was happened is showery all day long. This place is stole my heart since the very first time I opened their door. The interior, concept and all tea selection they offer. I was so surprised when the waiter came out with some tea samples and each of them has unique scent. And they also sell many fancy stuff for your daily tea time at home. All this things is found at Lewis & Carroll that located in Jalan Bumi, Kebayoran Baru.

Chinatown at Mal Kelapa Gading (Eat & Eat)

Another culinary destination should be noticed when visit Mal Kelapa Gading is Eat & Eat. This food village using concept Chinatown for their interior. We can find many kind food from traditional, western into Chinese. The system using a card for transaction there, and you can top up your card at the reception center, also get your cash back.

It was really like walking around at an old Chinatown. I can found things similar to my grandparent's. Classic, fascinating, unique, and the price so affordable!

Kafe Betawi

Visiting Jakarta also need to look for their traditional food. The origin tribe there is Betawi, so what food I was looking for are from that one. Perhaps this resto has many branch at different city, but I went to one of their outlets which located at LG floor Grand Indonesia. I was literally drooling for Karedok! Their peanut sauce is so delicious. Anyway the price also affordable.

Bakmi Gajah Mada

What else I got in Jakarta? Absolutely never skip the chance to enjoy this food. Being well known as Bakmi GM which short for Bakmi Gajah Mada. They have any kind of food on their menu, but my favorite is the original, one and only. Went to one of their outlets which located at Mall Kelapa Gading 3 Level 3, and I also took my montchi there.

Japanese Food : Yoshinoya

Another variety of Japanese food that I favorite much beside sushi are bento! Lunch box with salad and meat, chicken, or shrimp cook in Japanese way. They such quite popular for daily food, where we can get tempura, ebi furai, rice include the salad inside the box. And fresh cold ocha, the Japanese tea, could be give more satisfaction.

Visited Yoshinoya at Grand Indonesia West Mall Level 3A with my brother to solve our starving problem that night. The resto was so crowded and thanks God we got the table for having dinner there. They design their interior with the combination of modern and oriental. I think it's their biggest outlet in Jakarta compare to the space they have in other mall.

Their beef was so delicious, yes they use the US beef. Since I'm moving to Surabaya and go around for culinary hobby, I haven't found them here. Maybe in Indonesia we can find Yoshinoya in Jakarta only.

Jakarta's lights sparkling over the night

On my last holiday, I was visiting Jakarta for several days too, sure after done a journey in Cirebon. First we thought to stay few nights in Bandung, but this time we just let through it, in opinion that people from Jakarta will reach Bandung, and the city will so crowded. It was a perfect time to visit that capital city, no crowded as usual, because people back to their hometown outside Jakarta. Sometimes I feel there's no car on the street! And guess that the taxi fare just less than the usual! For you who want to enjoy Jakarta, the perfect time is on Eid holiday.

My favorite place to shop, culinary, and just sight seeing is Grand Indonesia which located at the heart of Jakarta. I came there for more than once, and shopped, shopped, till drop! Yeah I love rooftop in order to see the beautiful lights of the city sparkling over the night. And here what I've captured, The Jakarta's night from skybridge Grand Indonesia. Monochrome

Being casual with feminine touchy look by adding a floppy hat. Honestly, sometimes I'm not comfort to wear a tee out without something feminine touch, it just too casual. Perhaps this time I come forth in different style. Instead there still be a little feminine touch, but for my style, I have two words to describe this style, very casual. As you knows, people still interested with boyish items, such as boyfriend denim, cap, military booties, and so on. Therefore I decided to pick one for me, and I looked for the booties like military or sneakers. But they just give a weird-look on me, till I found this cute shoes at Gosh store. Canvas shoes with medium heel, simply to bind, and comfort to wear daily. The most important thing is the shoe are compatible with my style. How about the toy? I just found all my old love boxes, and the telescope is my brother's. FYI that's really a real telescope for seeing the far object!
