Style to my office.

It's been very long time not sharing something- fashion, culinary, even traveling. Earlier this year, I was pretty busy in choosing any jobs offer that suitable on me. Well basically as you know that I'm graduated as an engineer but even I don't have any matter with all of it complex calculation and designing, I just didn't think that the working days would supported me to inspire people through the way I dressed up. And then I ended up choosing a Management Development Program at one of private banking owned by one of Indonesia's conglomerate. Months back I stayed in Megamendung, Puncak in West Java at their training center, learned about whole system in banking industry. It was really like I'm back to uni again. So just now I stay in Jakarta, working at their headquarters office. The building was awesome, standing right next to one of Indonesia's big TV station in same area-both are under same group. And there are a small library with breathtaking view to Gatot Subroto street which then become my favorite spot.

So here, I share some my looks about what I wear to office daily. In first look I was wearing a 3/4 sleeves Batik dress with A-line cutting. The dress itself was bought by my parents. The pattern and the color just so simply yet elegant, paired it with my kitten heeled shoes from Zara. Well, I'm wearing any Batik clothes twice a week, and at first it was literally made me get confused since I was not dressed up in Batik oftentimes. But as time goes by, everything just so fun, like every morning I play mix & match of clothes.

In the second look, I also wearing a dress with a drapery at waist and the cutting is slimfit. To give a deep formal look, I also wore stockings in black. And for last touch, I chose my lace up high heeled shoes in cobalt blue. Since I always in love with pointy shoes, and those lace just bring another classy yet edgy look, and I feel it brings a sexy touch to my legs. And all are from my favorite RTW brand, ZARA.

Afternoon tea at Lewis & Carroll.

It was a day before Chinese New Year this year, during my visit to Jakarta which still in rainy season that is something challenging. Then that late afternoon, which I was expected to have a sun-kissed-on-a-cup-of-tea while gathered with friends from uni life, and what was happened is showery all day long. This place is stole my heart since the very first time I opened their door. The interior, concept and all tea selection they offer. I was so surprised when the waiter came out with some tea samples and each of them has unique scent. And they also sell many fancy stuff for your daily tea time at home. All this things is found at Lewis & Carroll that located in Jalan Bumi, Kebayoran Baru.

Power of white.

As we all knew that Winter is coming, of course in four season countries, and it means that Christmas is near. Mostly places have already decorated their space in winter theme, like putting fake snowflakes, mistletoe, making their own Xmas tree and many more!
I was going out for lunch, and the weather was quite cloudy. I picked up my very simple attire like an oversized shirt with basic skinny jeans. Both were in white. I didn't mean to represent snow as it is winter or even Christmas, I just currently in love with something clean like white. Yes, if you read my post months behind, I was crazy with black then blue but this time is white. For sure those three are my favorite, sometimes grey included. This color is very simple but the strongest. It suitable for any occasions. Like it's easy adaptable with all conditions. At first I wanted to opt for heels but then ended up by opting for this t-strap sandals. I wanted to bring a casual look and very simple since it's only a dinner with friends.
Many of friends asked me about my hair. I brought messy for that look, just curled it and ruffled it using my hands. I keep my hair longer this time, even deep inside me I want to cut it in long bob style, but my boyfriend force me for longer one. And for makeup, smokey eye with glossy lip. As you see, my lip look thicker than usual.

Really, it's been long time from any kind of outfit of the day (OOTD) post. Since I currently put more attention to my Final Project, titled "DESIGN ANALYSIS OF ACCOMMODATION LAYOUTS USING TOPOLOGICAL PATTERN MATCHING TECHNIQUE TO OPTIMIZE THE EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCESS ON A BULK CARRIER". Well, I am study naval architecture, just reminding, and this is my last semester. I don't know what exactly I feel, sometimes I'm happy but the other side I just broken. I don't want to loose my friends who already been amazing for these years. But let time answer everything since expectations always hurt the deepest. So this final project is really something, I can spend almost two hours for every assistance with my lecturer. The topic and the technique both are rare to choose by the others. The reason I picked that is because I am the person who loves something different, anti-mainstream, and look for something unique. And also, I care about the safety of human life. I need more seconds than mostly people when have to choose, because I am thinking about the risk for each decision. In maritime industry, thousand people have already reported lost on board, especially whose working as bulk carrier's crews. That's short about my final project. Hope that all my blog visitors pray for me, thank you :)

This Sunday I went out for having dinner and a little shopping with my mom who came to visit for supporting me. At first, I decided to dress in casual but I changed my mind. Then I picked a black t-shirt, yes I can't live without black, to be paired with my pencil skirt from an Indonesian jazz singer named Andien Aisyah collection for Gaudi. I love her because her style and fashion sense, rather than love her as a singer. The skirt is a pencil skirt with a second layer shaped trapezoidal. And I wasn't wearing high heels as usual, but I came with that blink slippers.

Twenty.

On December 29th, I was officially turning 20! Really can't believe that time flies this fast. As I remember, friends surprised me in the night day changing. The fireworks, the laugh, and the idea of kidnapping concept. For this year, they surprised me with the horror concept.  I was in my friend's home, and suddenly the electricity was off. Then it just happened like in horror movie. At the end, they just came out with a round birthday cake with candles on it. Totally creative! Thank you for sharing your love dear!!!

Well, actually I got this sweet cactus candle then I visit Starbucks to look for their Espresso Brownies, one of my favorites, and ordered frappe too. Because the day after I had an exam, I decided to visit my friend's home with several others to study there. And picked up several cakes from Starbucks for them in order to celebrate my 20th birthday. At first I want to order a birthday cake from my favorites cake shop, but unfortunately they had closed order before I placed mine. So that's the reason why I changed it into Starbucks cakes. And when I reached my friend's home, we talked and my friends named Abah, Chaning and Vines was laughing because I brought cakes and candles for celebrating my own birthday. And it was the moment before the horror surprise began.

A city invasion.

The brunch with something red.

The coffee shop is my favorite place to spend hours there, and one of them is this place. The interior just makes me comfortable sitting and sip coffee or green tea latte. Back to several days behind at Historica Coffee & Pastry , I had my brunch with a friend. We came around 11 am, and there was no crowded. Perhaps it was because we came on weekdays. Having a window-side table is my favorite, always.

Latte art on their red velvet latte. Well actually when I asked them to make some other cute shapes on it, they only could made the general shape such as love. I only found two coffee shop in Surabaya which capable to make animal face on a cup of latte. And so in love with the Calvin Klein sunglasses from the amazing Indonesian singer, Andien Aisyah. This classic sunglasses literally melt my heart.

We shared a meal which was Beef Parmigiana, served with salad and wadges. Actually, I eat a half of portion, so I really need some one to finish my meal.

The Escalator

Maybe it's little bit late to post about this style. I'm not a fashion person who always have to update my closet with the recent booming items, but I keep one which suitable with my personality. I do online shopping more often recently due to my school business, and I can't find that popular item on store on the time they rock the world. 

I realized that I imposed dressing up my body in the best way to cover up my exhausted face and body. It's quite worked, enough for a short dinner. Sometimes I feel that my babies on my closet are upset, and lonely too. They wait for so long to perform their magical fascination to the world, but I even can't take them out. 

I was went out for dinner at a Japanese Restaurant located at a shopping centre. Then I decided for styling my self very lady-like wearing the popular midi skirt and pointy shoes paired with my ZARA crop tee. My tosca midi skirt really matched with my FOREVER 21 round necklace. 

By the way, am I dress really follow the fashion trends? Maybe the answer is yes, but I love this look. People already known that THIS RECENT TIME; CROP TOP, MIDI SKIRT, POINTY SHOES, AND MEDIUM SIZE HANDBAG ARE TOTALLY ATTACK THE STREET STYLE. Honestly I prefer to be someone who very different from people at large, because I feel the feeling that hard to explain by words.

Could you being beautiful without happiness?

Seems that problems come directly to me everyday, and of course that I hate it. But the question is what kind of problems which really disturbing me recently? The answer is anything that make me away from blogging! I hate when I don't have free time to take some outfit photos, then the internet connection just trouble for few days, and course the academic factors. It's only a couple of weeks, but I don't know everything seems so complicated and harder. 

 I was sad, then the good news always comes along, something that could cheer me up more than the reason which made me felt sad. I wrote down, then erased it, because I realize past is a thing to forget and don't have to recall. Almost all the time when I look back -not only for memories, something bad just happen, like a traffic accident. 

I'm not a person with beautiful word on, but I try to. They say you need cleaning up your face, be healthy, and the hardest is be happy. Because happy is a feeling that sound simply but hard to reach. I always give thanks what God bring into my life, I know His planing something wonderful time forward.

Here it is, an outfit post. Put some black and white on me, a classic style. From floppy hat, v-neck sleeveless blouse, satin maxi skirt, and pump shoes. I don't know but these color dominating my commode.

Keraton Surakarta

Say hello to this new beginning, the new atmosphere to start everything and make a better steps. Honestly, I still excited with this new year moment with many hopes and plans in mind. And course many stories from the end of last December to share. 

And finally I have a short trip to Central Java, visited small town named Surakarta or well known as Solo. I don't know administratively which one is right, but people know both. At the middle of 2013, perhaps this name was so popular which their Mayor named Mr Jokowi was so famous with his innovative concept to advance this town development. And now he became the Governor of DKI Jakarta. So glad to know directly what he had contributed to this small town. I saw railways roadside while walked around the town, it used for city tour. And I found other one which make you can't believe it! They have a tourism bus with multilevel seating area upstairs (like found in other countries) for introducing what inside Solo by the city tour program. Unfortunately I hadn't try it because I had to back for some project here in Surabaya.

One of the heritage spot should be notice when you visit Solo is Keraton Surakarta (Surakarta Sunanate). This  is a Javanese monarchy centered in the city of Surakarta, that established in 1745 by Pakubuwono II. The area is open for public, in case the tourist can't access the restricted area. Vintage building construction makes the atmosphere so traditional.

They provide the visitor with guides, so we can know the history and brief explanation of every single corner there.

It was the first time for me to visit a traditional castle outside Lombok. And so happy to broaden my knowledge about this lovely country. I hope that the youth will keep conserving the heritage of Indonesia. I was so serious listen the guide's explanation, even I wasn't take any outfit photos. Just dressed so casual, pairing white sleeveless top and jeans, both from ZARA, with F21 necklace and red pointy flat shoes from Yongki Komaladi, clutch from The Little Things She Needs.
